I love building stories and characters!
Now, you can join the fun too!
I'll occasionally post a new series of prompts and you'll be able to send me your entries until I post the next series! If posted, your entries will stay on The Story Shelf for at least 2 months so that your friends and family can read your work!
Have fun, and I can't wait to read your stories!
Write Your Adventure
Setting:
In an Enchanted Castle,
OR
A Mysterious Forest?
Secret Doorway:
In an ancient Oak tree
OR
Through a magic mirror?
Quest:
Deliver an urgent message
OR
Reverse and evil spell?
Ending:
A great feast with all your friends
OR
A quiet moment watching the sun set on a safe world.
A protagonist (pro-tag-uh-nist)
in your story is who the story is about. Anne Shirley
in Anne of Green Gables, Simba in The Lion King, and
Harry Potter (from Harry Potter, of course!) are all protagonists.
The best part about protagonists is that they're all different. Some are shy, some are bold. Who will you create?
Protagonist
Fire-red hair
OR
Unruly curls
Quiet Observer
OR
Bold Speaker
Follows the rules
OR
Breaks the mold
Lone Wolf
OR
Loyal Follower
Homebody
OR
Adventure Seeker
An antagonist (ant-tag-uh-nist)
is the "bad guy" in your story. "Anti" means "opposed to"
or "against". Makes sense, right? Not all stories have bad guys. Sometimes, a protagonist must overcome hardship due to natural disasters or even tough emotions that come up in everyday life. What do you think? Will your story have an antagonist?
Antagonist
Pretends to be nice
OR
Obviously wicked
Sinister smile
OR
Scowly face
Wants to rule the
world
OR
Ruin someone's day
Lives in a dark cave
OR
A tall tower
Magic spells
OR
Sneaky tricks
